POSITION: Cardus, Inc. has an opening for a Software Developer (Ref# SD1115SP) to work in Farmington Hills, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
DUTIES: Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, including client/server and web-based applications, and enhancement of existing systems, using Java/J2EE technologies. Involved in all phases of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) including requirement gathering, analysis, development, and testing using Agile framework. Understand client requirements and how they translate to new application features. Collaborate with the development team and other IT peers to set specifications for new applications. Write high-quality code to program complete on schedule using Java and SQL. Perform functional, unit, and integration testing before implementation. Troubleshoot and debug applications. Maintain and develop technical documents to accurately represent application design and code. Research and resolve production issues and end user support requests. Use of Java/J2EE, JSP, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Ajax, JSON, Python, Web Services, Eclipse, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, WebSphere, Oracle, UNIX, and Windows. Travel and/or relocation required.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year in a related occupation including Java Developer or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with software development using Java/J2EE. 40hrs/week.
